The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course is a 10 week long practical introduction to the Christian faith, examining questions such as "Who was or is Jesus?" "Why did Jesus die?" "Do all religions lead to God?" and "How can I be sure this is true?". It’s ideal for people who are not Christians, or for people who are Christians but want to find out more about their faith. Our Alpha Courses usually have a good mix of people from many different backgrounds and faiths. Scroll down to sign up for the next course at QRC.

The Alpha Course at QRC runs on a series of Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:45, and on one Saturday. Each session begins with a meal, followed by an after-dinner talk, then a chance for participants to discuss the talk and ask difficult questions of their own. One of the principles of Alpha is that everyone can ask their questions and everyone can have their say. We’ve run over 30 courses as a church, and many people have found that Alpha answered their questions and proved a turning point for them.

Bear Grylls, Channel 4's ultimate adventurer, has even done the Alpha course...

The Alpha Course itself is free, although there will be an opportunity for you to put in something to cover the cost of the meal if you would like to. You will also receive some free materials to help you with some of your questions as the course progresses.

The current Alpha course at QRC is now closed for new attendees. Please keep checking this page for information about the next Alpha Course.
