Church Life: Serving

Voluteering

Serving - in the church and in the community

We believe that serving others is a vital part of our worship. Serving is about joining God on His mission to transform the World; it is an adventure that will do you good. As you serve, your relationships with others and your sense of belonging deepen. Church is not a spectator sport, so why not roll up your sleeves, and get stuck in!

Serving in the community

The Besom

The Besom is a Project providing a bridge between those who want to give money, time, skills or things, and those who are in need. Whether you have special skills or not, however much time you have available, you can get involved.

The Nehemiah Project

Nehemiah is a charity set up to help people overcome life controlling issues and go on to fulfil their potential in life. If you are positive, friendly and motivated to help, then please contact the Project via their web site.

“Every local churchgoer has a choice to make. He can park in his usual spot in the church parking lot, make his way to a comfortable seat in a favourite row, watch a good service, chat with friends, and then go home. That choice makes for a nice, safe Sunday morning experience. Or he can throw himself into an adventure by rolling up his sleeves, joining a team of like-minded servants, and helping to build the local church God has called him to be a part of.”
