About Us: Our Vision

Our vision for 2008 has come out of extensive prayer and discussions as elders. In particular the Lord also spoke to us through Isaiah 37:30, 31 "And this shall be the sign for you: this year you shall eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from that. Then in the third year sow and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit. And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward." This is a year for us to take stock and gather strength for the next phase. There will be three main emphases for 2008 under the banner heading Your Kingdom Come…
- Put down your roots
This is a year for us to 'take root downward and bear fruit upward'. We want to help our people to grow in their personal walk of discipleship.
- Grow the crowd.
We want to grow the number of people who feel a connection with the church especially those who are not yet Christians.
- Step up and serve.
We believe that a Kingdom characteristic is a willingness to serve others. We consider serving within the church to be an expression of worship. We also observe that as people serve relationships form and their sense of belonging deepens. |

"This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
Matthew 6:9-10
"Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labour in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain."
Psalm 127:1 |
