Church Life: Giving

We believe that regular, sacrificial giving to the work of the local church is an important part of worship. In the Old Testament, people were taught to give a tenth (tithe). In the New Testament, we are taught to be generous, and each person must decide before God how much to give. Many Christians still find a tenth a useful guide, but it is entirely up to you what you give. Giving can be done through standing order and the Gift Aid scheme A firm of independent auditors audit the final accounts each year. We give away a significant percentage of our income to UK and overseas mission, and in charitable gifts. If you would like to give to the ministry of the church, please pick up a ‘Regular Giving Pack’ or gift envelope from the foyer.

"Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly, or under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.’"
