Leaders

QRC is led by a team of six elders, or pastors.

  • Phil Moore Lead Pastor

Phil has led the team of elders and been chair of the trustees since early 2010. After reading History at Cambridge University, he worked as a missionary in Paris, then worked for six years for the US consumer-goods company Procter & Gamble. He was previously one of the elders of The Coign Church in Woking, and is the author of the "Straight to the Heart" series of Bible commentaries (www.philmoorebooks.com). Phil is married to Ruth, a GP, and they have four young children: Isaac, Noah, Esther & Ethan. Phil likes food, films, friends and West Ham United.

  • David Featherstone Pastor

David joined the staff of QRC in 2003, after a 20-year-long career in social care provision and regulation. He is married to Amanda, who is a nurse practitioner and lecturer. They have three sons: Dan, Luke and Tom. David is a big fan of Chelsea FC.

  • Peter Troup Executive Pastor

After a career in banking and finance, Peter joined the staff of QRC in 1996. He is responsible for implementing our vision as a church and works closely with the trustees. Peter is married to Gill who works in communications with a disability charity. They have a daughter called Susie and a Labrador called Jasper.

  • Pete Wood Pastor

Pete became a Christian many years ago through the QRC youth work. Since then, he has gained a degree in music, become an accomplished musician, married Steph and become dad to Caleb and Lydia. Pete oversees the worship bands at QRC and has a gift for turning ideas into reality.

Pete and Steph also lead the Morden Pastorate together.

  • Akhtar Shah Pastorate Leaders

Akhtar joined the eldership team in November 2011. Akhtar & his wife Marta lead our Kingston Pastorate. Much of Akhtar's wider family is Muslim and Marta is from Poland. They like to claim that their family represents the diversity of south-west London. Akhtar and Marta have two children named Joel and Anastazja.

  • Sid Rall Pastorate Leaders

Sid joined the eldership team in November 2011. Sid and his wife Jen lead our Wimbledon Village Pastorate. Both Sid and Jen come from Fish Hoek, near Cape Town in South Africa and can be found looking very happy whenever England lose any sport to South Africa. Sid works full time at the church and loves talking to people about Jesus. Jen works in marketing and sings in one of the QRC worship bands.
